This 5-star business hotel is well positioned for exploring Lisbon. It is located adjacent to the Parque Eduardo VII and is a 5-10 minute walk north of the exclusive Avenida da Liberdad, which is lined with luxury boutiques and high-end shopping malls.

If you continue walking South you will eventually reach the Portuguese coastline (around 30 minutes from the hotel) allowing you to explore Lisbon’s delightful Old Town along the way.

The hotel itself is worthy of its 5-star billing, and those who are used to staying in equivalent standard hotels in the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Spain or United States will be pleasantly surprised by the room prices. However, other costs such as drinks and snacks in the bar, and breakfast/meals in the restaurant, will hit you in the wallet.

Our room was very large, spotlessly clean and elegantly furnished. Indeed, whilst many business hotels suffer from a lack of character, this hotel has managed to retain a certain degree of old world charm.

The staff were generally helpful and attentive, without ever giving the sense that they would go the extra mile if required. Nonetheless, there was no specific cause for complaint.

This is a very good hotel and would be a great choice for anyone who cannot normally afford to stay in a 5-star establishment, just to see how the other half live!
