Senator Cadiz Spa Hotel

This brightly decorated hotel in yellows and oranges has a Moorish feel to it, which is right at home in Cadiz. The large open planed lobby is decked in mosaic tiles, Moroccan style arches and fountains. It is the perfect place to have breakfast or just to sit and relax reading a book.

The rooms are big, light and airy, but some of them do have windows opening out onto the courtyard like lobby rather than the outside. Each room comes with Internet access and balcony rooms are available upon request.

The spa has great facilities in underground cave-like rooms. There are various Jacuzzis, hot and cold pools and lots of treatments to choose from. There is also a roof top pool open in the summer. Unfortunately though, the use of the spa is not included in the price of the room.

The hotel is in a great location if you are coming from the train station as it’s only about a 5-minute walk, however it is on the other side of town from the beach. The town is not that big though so the beach is still within a half an hour walk.

The best thing about this hotel, is the staff, they are extremely helpful and friendly and are willing to go out of their way to help you, even when they are not required to. Most them speak good English, as well as a few other European languages.

Make sure you book ahead, especially in the summer, as the town gets extremely busy in the tourist seasons. It has been known in Cadiz that every single room in the city has been booked out.
