The hotel is a four storey block in pale stone and with green shutters around each window. Being close to the water it has it's own mooring points, both to the fore and to the side of the building. The hotel's style is traditional throughout.The lobby area has several green velvet covered settees and armchairs and a view which looks out to the water. It is medium size with a particular care for all details.

Bedrooms vary in size, but all are furnished and decorated in a typical Venetian style with ornate furniture and beige or pastel coloured walls. All rooms are elegantly furnished with ancient furniture.

The Met Restaurant is the only Michelin-starred hotel restaurant in Venice , and one of only two Michelin-starred restaurants in the whole city.

The hotel is in an excellent position.

The hotel is located on the main esplanade leading to Piazza San Marco, 3 minutes walking distance along the waterfront, and out to the islands of Guideca and Lido, in the famous Riva degli Schiavoni. The hotel offers a magnificent view of the Lagoon and a special canal entrance for arrivals by water taxi.
