The Mercure is positioned off the main road. The town hall and maschsee Park can be seen from the front rooms. A short walk gives access to the maschsee lakewhere sailing and rowing is available. Viewed from outside the facade of the hotel is traditionaly German. This has been extended with two modern wings positioned behind the facade and out of view from the front. Entrance is througha bright high ceilinged tiled passage. The standard rooms are in the modern extension. They contain modern furniture with a purple and light blue colour scheme. There are some rooms in the older section. These are large with high ceilings and modern furniture. The resturant is on the ground floor with large windows along one side. It is brightly lit and neatly modern.
