Joie de vivre, a whole lot of bon mots and a pile of bon vivant. Going through the door you're greeted by the crème de la crème of local society. In the air a distinct scent of haute cuisine and sensual traces of eau de cologne. Ah...ceci c'est la vie in le Malin hotel. Here we do things 'à la francaise'...food par excellence, rooms au courant. And a great pint too! Boutique? We created the word. We're your little pied-à-terre. Your moulin rouge in the midst of the beauty of Donegal. Boudoirs that'll knock the socks off you, wine to blow your mind and scenery that'll take the eyes out of your head. Unique? You can say that again. Pardon my french. Vive la difference

Stayed at this little hotel in Donegal in July 2011, the staff were fantastically friendly, the rooms cosy, the dinner was great and good value as part of a BB&D deal. The bar was well stocked and lively on the Saturday night. Although this is a small village there is gorgeous scenery and fantastic walking at malin head, if you are looking for a quiet, romantic break in beautiful natural surroundings I think you can do no better than the Malin Hotel.
