We stayed at Lomo Blanco for 14 nights. The apartment was VERY basic. And very insecure, not the kind of security you'd expect at home in the UK. The reception staff are very rude to the point of being obnoxious and uncaring.
There were not enough sun-beds and we spent our holiday hoping everyday there would be one by the pool but others got up at the crack of dawn to reserve them, and then didn't bother to use them all day.
The entertainment consisted of a basic quiz, a good reptile show and bird show and a terrible drag act. There was also Karaoke.
On out 11th night we were broken into and burgled. This was apartment 129 in block A. They got in and out through the insecure but locked window at the back of the block. We were ground floor. The security guard was rude and unsympathetic. He called the police who refused to come out. We made a police report and the translator told us that this is a VERY regular happening in Lomo Blanco.
Fortunately we had used the safe (which we had to pay 40 Euros to have for a fortnight) for passports and credit cards etc. Another couple had their credit card and money stolen the following night, this time the thieves rifled through their clothes to get what they wanted. The safe was not big enough for the laptop, but that was hidden in the room and wasn't taken luckily.
The rep' was sympathetic and offered to move us to another room in the same hotel which we considered hopeless as we wouldn't have felt any more safe in any other place once that had happened. We didn't sleep for the rest of the holiday. Had to sleep in shifts and carry the laptop everywhere because we didn't feel safe.
The worst thing was that all of the hotel staff just couldn't have cared less. We received no comment from them at all which was horrendous. They completely ruined our holiday. Lanzarote itself is simply about profit and not about people, if you want a good holiday do not bother with it. We are saddened by the whole experience.

Do not stay here. The apartment was broken into. Small valuables were taken. Security refused to call the police until morning. We had to stay an unsafe room. Security couldn't care less. The rep couldn't be reached unroll 9am following day. So upset. Feel very unsafe. Do not stay here. We had all proper valuables in the safe thank god but the attitude of the security staff was aful. If they are luke this in a time like this it really doesn't matter how the holiday was it's the crisis time when a place cam be amazing or terrible. This is awful
