Georgian Manor, built in 1814 for Sir William Douglas and Dame Grace Johnstone and their famous great-grandson, John Sholto Douglas. The hotel is surrounded in beautiful countryside and landscaped gardens.

Each of the 32 bedrooms arranged on 2 floors offers a private bath/ shower room, coffee making facilities, a colour television, a direct-dial telephone, a trouser press and other 3 star comforts. The decor of each one was created to exude its own style and character to cater for each individual's discerning taste.

The bar and restaurant are open to non-residents, offering a superb range of culinary delights from light lunches to elegant dinners.

The hotel is set in 78 acres of tranquil park and woodlands. Lockerbie is 22 miles north of Carlisle and 12 miles from Gretna on the M6. From the South, take the 2nd exit for Lockerbie (North), follow for half mile to hotel. From the North, take the 1st. exit. Lockerbie is on the inter-city route from London to Glasgow.

Its interior has retained its traditional charm with ornate ceilings and a wood panelled large master staircase. As you relax in the elegant lounge with its original Adams fireplace, amidst period furniture, you can enjoy the peace and quiet and reminisce of bygone years.
