It is a traditional Victorian style building in white brick.
The rooms vary slightly in size but all are large and spacious. The decor is basic but comfortable. The bathrooms are very large, which is surprising in a traditional hotel and very welcome. Triple rooms have a double and single bed.
The dining area is quite grand. A la carte and set menus are available. Typical Bristish cooking and also a French influence.
The hotel is situated in the Lansdown area of Bath, close to all the main tourist attractions and the city centre.
