Located 32 km from Selfoss in the town of Laugarás, this comfortable hotel offers splendid river views, a beautiful natural environment and a genuine taste of Icelandic village life. Nearby are several famous sights; be sure to visit Thingvellir National Park, Mount Hekla volcano and the historically significant site of Skalholt. Hotel Hvítá has a cosy in-house restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, consisting of both distinctive local dishes and international delicacies. The restaurant is closed between 1 October and 30 April but guests can still have dinner at the hotel if it is requested in advance. At Hotel Hvítá events can be arranged for groups of up to 150 people.
