Huntsman Inn

This country hotel is located in among the beautiful rolling hills of Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. It's the perfect hotel for a romantic weekend away.

The hotel rooms are spacious and really well decorated (so you don't feel like you're staying at your grandparents house!)To make it even more homely, there are gorgeous wooden beams in the rooms, fireplaces, a TV, big double beds and endless views across the surrounding countryside.

The hotel is big enough that you can enjoy a bit of space from the great pub and restaurant downstairs, but small enough that the staff are attentive and around when you need them. They are also really friendly too - a nice bit of Northern banter will definitely be enjoyed here!

The hotel's main attraction is the town of Holmfirth (which is a 5 minute drive away) which is famously where The last of the Summer Wine was filmed. The village is great, there is a lively nightlife and some cute shops and markets to mull around during the daytime. And of course, Compo's Cafe where you can try his famous Fish and Chips!

As a last bit of information about this hotel, I'd definitely recommend renting the honeymoon suite, if it's available. It's a bit bigger than the other rooms and comes with a hot-tub bath and four poster bed. Definitely a treat worth saving up for!
