Renaissance features, an Andalusian feel and Arabic remains combine in the unique setting of this hotel, formerly a fertile land for growing crops in the heart of the deep hollow of the walled city of Zafra. The nearby Alcázar Palace, the ancestral residency of the Duchy of Feria and the Convent of Santa Clara imbue its rocky corners with beauty and mysticism. Its strategic location at the historical commercial crossroads of the town was the reason behind its renovation in the nineteen-seventies into the hotel now run by Mr. Antonio Martínez Buzo.
