Myself and a group of friends decided to go for a spontaneous weekend away from London and decided that Brighton would be the ideal get away.
Hotel rooms booked online, the group left London expecting to forget our problems. We thought wrong the hotel we booked was over booked by the company and after much debate we were offered rooms at the Holiday Inn. Which because it was a familiar name we gratefully accepted
The Holiday Inn is ideally located for families and those wishing for a relaxing break, it’s on the seafront but 10 minutes walk from the pier and the noise of the town centre with unrestricted views of the sea and the pier.
After the stress of earlier at the unnamed hotel, we were delighted to find that we actually ended up saving money staying at the Holiday Inn as it is one of the more reasonably priced hotels on the seafront.
The group arrived at the hotel in the evening and we were very impressed the hotel looked spotless and all amenities were easy to find. The service however was very slow, It took an age to get our rooms booked and there seemed to only be one person working in the whole hotel, unfortunately this did not include a bar person
The hotel was set out in a relatively simple way so our rooms were easy to locate which was a huge relief after the wait.
Once we finally got to the rooms they like the rest of the hotel were spotless and well-kept,The more was of a moderate size and felt homely. The beds were comfortable and unlike some hotels the TV actually had more than just the normal 5 channels. The room had all the expected extra's towels shower gel, kettle and a safe.
The Hotel was also a couple of minutes walk away from a Tesco Express so any essentials we forgot to pack where within a close proximity.
The staff that we did meet the next day were pleasant and helpful and made the rest of the trip pass quickly.
Overall I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn at Brighton Seafront just make sure you get there early.
