A 4 storey typically Icelandic white building. Although not particularly pretty, this building fits in well enough with the local architecture and is functional rather than stunning to look at.

Rooms are medium in size and in good condition. Decorated in soft pink and yellow colours, all rooms are functional without being luxurious. The bathrooms are also in good condition.

The hotel restaurant is located on the ground floor and is quite large, serving local as well as international dishes. The adjacent bar is very popular.

Located in the centre of Akureyri, the Harpa is actually the 3 star wing of 4 star Hotel Kea where guests should also check in.

This hotel comes highly recommended.
