This fully restored building dates from 1887.

The rooms are medium sized, decorated in a contemporary style that blends light and dark colours for a dramatic effect. All rooms are full equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar and free high-speed internet access. Rooms for persons with disabilities, as well as non-smoking rooms, are available on request.

The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine.

The hotel is located in the city centre, near the popular Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. It is within easy reach of all main tourist and cultural attractions.

The H10 Universitat must be one of the best located hotels in Barcelona. Just a two minute walk from the Plaza Catalunya, at the top of Las Ramblas, the hotel is a great base for a trip to Barcelona. The airport bus stops almost right outside the hotel, and there is a Metro station just around the corner in the plaza. The “hop-on hop-off” tourist bus also stops in the plaza.

The hotel had recently been renovated to a very high standard. The room was modern, airy and very clean with comfy beds and a massive flat screen TV. The bathroom was spacious and clean with a brilliant power shower. The WIFI in the room was quick and free.

The high standard of the rooms is reflected in the staff who were very friendly, extremely helpful and spoke perfect English. I was travelling with a wheelchair user and when he experienced problems with his chair they went out of their way to help us track down somewhere we could get it repaired. A great help, you can imagine, when you’re away from home.

Breakfast was included with our room rate and it was quite a spread! The buffet included cooked and continental breakfasts as well as cereals, fruit, sweets and tea and coffee.

In addition, there’s a free welcome drink when you arrive and a great rooftop terrace and bar to relax in after a hard day of sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
