This is a historical, 6-floor building, with a beautiful facade, reminiscent of Louis XV. The hotel used to be owned by Madame de Pompadour.
The rooms are large for Parisian standard as well as charming and well decorated, in either blue or red colours. Each room has a small sitting area or desk. The rooms are very well equipped and the windows are soundproofed; some have a view over the Palais Royal. The light coloured marble bathrooms all have bathtubs. There is also a terrace on the sixth floor.
The breakfast room is under the reception, but still benefits from natural light. While the furniture is dark, the light painted walls create a welcoming atmosphere. There is also a small bar where drinks can be taken any time.
The hotel is very well-located, in a lively district close to several sights such as the Louvre, the Opera, and Jardin des Tuileries. From the subway station, it's only a few minutes walk to the hotel. Shops and restaurants are closeby.
This is a 4-star hotel, considered a superior first-class. The staff is very flexible and tries to make guests feel at home. (0608ADB)
