The hotel is situated along Riva degli Schiavoni, the main promenade that runs alongside San Marco Basin and takes to San Marco Square through a spectacular 10 minutes’ walk.
The rooms vary in size and are decorated in traditional style with original furniture from the fifties and beautiful fabrics. They are equipped with all the modern facilities and are kept in good condition along with the bathrooms that have been recently renovated. Some rooms boast unforgettable views of the lagoon and the San Marco Basin.
There is an indoor restaurant, decorated in original liberty style from the 20s, and another restaurant located in a typical inner courtyard decorated with plants and colourful flowers to create a quite romantic atmosphere. They offer local and international delicacies.
The lobby, reception, and public areas are open plan, with marbled floors and walls, the ceiling is comprised of intricate work, in bare wood. The furniture is original from the 50s and kept in excellent condition thanks to the constant and loving care of the family that owns the hotel. The wooden reception desk is at the entrance of the hotel. At the left side there is a marble stairway and a marble column. There is also a spacious and luminous reading room, with original liberty furniture dated back to the 20s.
The hotel is a beautiful patrician palace of the 14th century spread out on 4 floors with a panoramic terrace on the top floor, where a solarium, surrounded by plants and flowers, is ideally located. The palace is painted in a typical orange shade, with beautiful white, pointed windows frames in gothic style.
This is a very well known, professional environment, in a spectacular location. There is also an English-style garden. The hotel is highly recommended. LB 08/07
