This is a traditional brick building.The lobby is medium in size and light with pale floors and overlooks an inner courtyard. There is a long seating area, comfortably furnished with an alcoved ceiling.

The rooms are kept in excellent condition, as are the bathrooms. They are large and decorated and furnished with an impressive attention to detail. The bathrooms are tiled, with chrome showers and fittings.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and decorated in typical Conran style, blue with plenty of stainless steel. Meals can be taken outside in the courtyard garden in the summer months. The restaurant has won many awards for its excellent cuisine.

This hotel is very popular with guests wanting a cosmopolitan atmosphere rather than a traditional Austrian feel.

The hotel is located one minutes walk from Karlsplatz underground and 5 minutes from the Opera and Kartnerstrasse, one of Vienna's main shopping areas. The hotel has been interior-designed by Sir Terrance Conran.
