This historical building, once the residence of the Demidoff family, with its fortunate and quiet position on the Lungarno Vespucci, has seen as its guests, Petr Ilic Cajkowskij who remembered in 'Souvenir of Florence' the impressions from his period in Florence; as well as Leon Tolstoi who stayed here during some winters in the late '800.
