The hotel has been developed from the old disused railway buildings and grounds, in the centre of town.

All rooms are modern and stylish in dark and lights red furnishings and cream decor. Each has tea and coffee making facilities and iron/ironing boards. There are modem points for the business traveller. All are medium sized and in excellent condition.

The Station House bar is a traditional Irish pub which retains many of the original features of the railway and memorabilia. Part of the original platform has been used in the conservatory extension to the bar, which has become an informal restaurant. The Signal restaurant is more formal.

The lobby is modern, bright, medium-sized and spacious, with dark fabrics and light decor.

Modern re-brick extension to the old traditional station building.

A new modern and original development, the whole station complex has been revitalised. The perfect base from which to explore Connemara and the West Coast. (09/06tm)
