Tradition from the past combined with all modern comforts of the present: the Bristol is not only steeped in history, it also has lots of stories to tell. The furnishings in the 60 rooms, apartments and suites portray historical eras, foreign lands, art, theatre and music.

The chef will delight you with traditional Austrian dishes and delicacies from all over the world.

The groundstone of the current hotel was laid by Archbishop Paris Lodron around 1619. In the centuries that followed the building served as seat for various aristocracy. Towards the end of the 19th century it received its current apperarance. In 1892 the city of Salzburg, which then owned the property, opened the first hotel in the Mozart city offering electric power. The whole of the old town on this side of the Salzach river was supplied with electricity from here.

***The hotel will be closed between the 31st January and 14th November 2011.***
