This is a very quaint, old building originating back to the seventeenth century. It has white washed walls and contrasting black window frames.
The rooms are medium in size and decorated in different styles, all of which are warm, comfortable and in good condition.
The restaurant has an oak beamed ceiling and a stone wall at one end of the room giving it a rustic appearance. It is acclaimed for its traditional scottish fayre and is second to none in the area.
The hotel looks out over the picturesque village green which has long been a natural meeting place for routes leading to Loch Lomond. It is an excellent base from which to tour the many famous and beautiful landmarks of the western Highlands. It is only one hours drive away from Edinburgh and half an hour away from Glasgow.
This is a very good country hotel in an excellent location for Loch Lomond and the western Highlands. It purveys a fine example of Scottish Tradition and hospitality. MT-03/06
