Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg Mitte

The hotel is not in the centre of the city, but one can take a very simple 15-20 minute trip into the centre on the no. 4 bus, which can be caught directly across the street from the hotel. One can buy tickets from most newsagents. Tickets can also be purchased on the bus from the drivers, but don’t expect them to speak too much English.
One shouldn't expect too many frills from the hotel, but then again one also doesn't travel to such a culturally rich and picturesque city like Salzburg to enjoy the frills of the hotel.

The rooms are small, but comfortable with warm furnishings and flat screen TVs with a few English channels. The rooms also have safes in them, as most hotels do these days. I never got the impression that I needed it, but one cannot be too cautious.
The twin rooms have two single beds with firm mattresses, but due to lake of space they are placed right next to each another.
The bathrooms were very clean with plenty of clean towels and anything else one might need.

The breakfasts are included and they completely make up for any shortcomings one might find with the hotel.
There is 24h service at the front desk, where the staff speak good English and help with any tourist queries you may have, like booking concert tickets and calling taxis. The reception area also has a limited food and drink menu with a small dining room at your disposal.
There is a computer terminal in the reception that is free to use, but there is also a wireless network, which one can use for free if one has a laptop or a smart phone.
Overall, a good three-star accompaniment to a five-star city.
