The hotel has a unique exterior due to the fact that it is an historical building originally built as an orphanage. It is traditional in style and is reached via small forecourt.

The bedrooms vary in size but are all on the large side and are quite basic, although unique in style with drop down silver lighting. They are in fair condition, as are the bathrooms.

The restaurant has recently been renovated in the style of a French brasserie and now features attractive wooden floorboards. It serves international cuisine and overlooks the forecourt of the hotel. In the summer, there is a terrace where one can have a drink outside.

Located close to Amsterdam's famous zoo, this hotel is approx. 20 minutes walk or only a short tram ride away from Central Station and close to all the main attractions of this city.

This is a perfect base for those travelling on a budget. It is slightly different to most hotels in Amsterdam in as much as it has some nice grounds and there is a famous nightclub located in the grounds of the hotel, but not close enough to disturb the peace. The hotel is just minutes from the city centre.
