Arcotel Wimberger ratings from the websites that we search:
My girlfriend and I visited Vienna in November 2009 for a weekend break and really enjoyed our trip. The stay was made even more pleasant by the accommodating hotel that we stayed in – Arcotel Wimberger.
The four star hotel is not too far a walk from Westbaunof Train Station and only just round the corner from the busy Mariahilferstrasse shopping street where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The buffet breakfast will leave you spoilt for choice and is very tasty, mixing a traditional Viennese breakfast with a more familiar continental one.
The room was spacious and tidy; the cleaner visited the room once a day to keep it spotless. The bed was very comfortable as well, which certainly ensures visitors get a good night’s sleep after a hectic day of sightseeing and exploring the city. Air-conditioning was available in the room as well so the temperature could be kept toasty for when we returned from the chilly winter air outside (we travelled in November so it got pretty cold; there was snow on our first day!) The staff were all very friendly and polite. They always acknowledged us when we entered or left the hotel turning on that Viennese charm that the locals are renowned for. We were always courteously asked how our day had been. The bar was also cosy and had a relaxed atmosphere. The drinks were a little bit overpriced but that did little to detract the decent vibe and the humour of the barman serving us!
Overall, a thoroughly pleasant stay in both the hotel and Vienna itself.
