This comfortable and friendly hotel originally built in the early 19th century is immortalised in James Joyce’s masterpiece, ‘Ulysses’. Standard rooms are in the original Georgian building, while the contemporary modern block at the back of the hotel contains Executive rooms, Premier Club rooms and Suites. The same block is also home to conference facilities, a business centre and the exclusive 7th floor Premier Club Hospitality Lounge with spectacular view of Dublin city’s skyline.

The lounge bar is new and very attractive. Please note that the 2 lifts only cater for executive rooms; clients should use stairs in the standard room block. Guests should be aware that there is live entertainment in the hotel bar, on Monday-Saturday from 9.30pm until midnight and on Sunday until 11pm. (TM 01.07)

Croke Park Stadium is also approximately ten minutes away on foot, and the newly developed O2 point theatre is only a two minute tram ride away.;

All the rooms are ensuite with direct-dial telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, hair dryer and trouser press. All are in good condition, an recently befitted from a soft refurbishment. Rooms are all located in the standard wing of the hotel. Some of these rooms are overlooking train lines that lead in and out of Connolly Station.

"McCoy's" traditional bar and the "Bianconi Room", a popular restaurant that specialises in international cuisine.

The North Star Hotel has direct mainline access at Connolly Station (directly across the road) to and from Sligo, Belfast and WexfordRosslare. Via Rail Links - which leaves Busaras every fifteen minutes (peak time) there is convenient access to Heuston Station, which caters for rail passengers through most of the rest of the country.In addition, the hotel is serviced by the DART and LUAS rail system. DART is a rapid transport system that stretches from the fishing village of Howth, Co. Dublin to Bray in Co. Wicklow, while the LUAS light rail system links the main shopping district as well as Heuston Station.
