This hotel is perfectly situated on the Rembrandtplein in the heart of the city. It is close to all the main tourist attractions and is easily accessible by tram from Central Station.

The rooms are medium-sized and were renovated in 2006 to an extremely high standard. They thus offer some of the nicest accommodation in Amsterdam. The colour scheme is earthy with dark wood furniture, brown walls and carpet and lime green chairs, all in very good condition. The bathrooms have also recently been renovated and feature dark grey slate tiles, or blue floor tiles, with large, white and square modern sinks and silver trimming, including new hairdryers. All are in very good condition.

Breakfast is usually served on the first floor but since this area is currently being renovated, breakfast is temporarily being served at a sister hotel, the NH Schiller, across the square. Other meals such as lunch and dinner are also served at the NH Schiller.

The lobby is small but cosy with ample seating on very comfortable and plump armchairs. The colours of the lobby are predominantly green and blue with dark wooden walls. This area will be renovated before the end of 2006.

The building is modern in contrast to its immediate surroundings, but seems to blend in well due to its size.

The NH Caransa is easily accessible by public transport.It also boasts a direct public transport connection with Amsterdam Central Station and Rai Congress Centre which can both be reached within 10 minutes.By TrainTram;-From Schiphol airport, trains run frequently to Amsterdam Central Station and the travelling time is approximately 20 minutes and costs EUR 5-15, for transfer to the tram network.-The Rembrandtplein stop is directly outside the hotel.
