**The hotel is undergoing a renovation process of rooms at least until the end of 2007. The work will be carried out by sections and it may cause some noise. Work hours are Mon-Fri from 9am-6pm.** This striking hotel is not only the direct neighbour of the National Museum (Rembrandt!), but also two other famous museums are close by: the Van Gogh Museum and the Municipal Museum of modern art. Amsterdam's most sophisticated shopping area is literally just around the corner: the P.C. Hooftstraat with all the most famous designer labels, the Van Baerlestraat and the Leidsetraat. Plus the Leidseplein with it's exciting nightlife with a mixture of theatres, disco's, cinemas and casino. And you can feast on all sorts of different culinary treats: French, Chinese or Thai. You are right in the centre of the old city in no time at all from the Museum Hotel , the canal boat lies almost on your doorstep and if you feel like some exercise then the Vondel park is just two minutes from your doorstep.
