This family hotel is situated in the old part of Amsterdam 'Old South / Oud Zuid' opposite a nice green park named Sarphatipark. All the museums, the famous Albert Cuyp Market and Rembrandt square at at walking distance. Also the public transport is very good and near by.

This hotel is located close to the Albert Cuyp Market, the Sepharti Park and the Pijp area of Amsterdam, with its trendy bars and restaurants. There are also numerous tram options to Central Station, Dam Square and the Rembrandtsplein. The bedrooms are fairly basic but are quite large for this category hotel. They will receive some soft refurbishment during the winter of 2004 as they are in fair condition, as are the bathrooms. This hotel has no restaurant but a breakfast room which is located on the ground floor, just off the lobby area. It is basic and adequate. The lobby is small but bright and airy. This is an attractive building in a traditional style in keeping with the neighbourhood. This is a nice little hotel with a good location, not in the very heart of they city amidst the hustle and bustle but in a tree lined avenue within walking distance of most touristic sights and sounds. 10/2004/jg

The Aalborg Hotel is located in the old town area of southern Amsterdam, in a place called Pijp, so called because the narrow streets resemble pipes and is an alternative, multi-cultural neighbourhood. It is only minutes away from famous museums, stylish shopping, fine dining, and Amsterdam nightlife. Opposite the hotel guests will find the beautiful Sarpathi Park. The hotel has a total of 36 bedrooms which all combine a vintage fashion with a modern look and feature television, radio and telephone. The hotel has news broadcasts playing on the large screen T.V. during breakfast, and at night, the bar livens up with music, a wide selection of premium drinks, and the best sports game playing.
