This hotel is located in the centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of Central Station, Dam Square, the shopping district and all major tourist attractions.

The bedrooms vary in size as the hotel consists of many existing townhouses, but all bedrooms are medium sized and in good condition. The bathrooms are also in good condition.

The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the hotel. It serves breakfast only but offers group meals upon request. It has a special deal with the restaurant next door for individual meals. It is a large and bright room.

The lobby area is large, modern and sparse. Beyond the reception desk there is a very attractive seating area with a large wooden table where one can read the newspapers (this is a very Dutch activity), as well as regular sofas and a very cosy fireplace.

Public TransportTrains leaves from Schiphol airport regularly to Amsterdam Central Station, which is a five minutes walk from Golden Tulip Amsterdam-Centre. From the station, follow signs directing you to parking garage De Kolk, located next to the hotel. (When you walk out of the Central Station, cross over bridge and traffic lights and turn right (in front of the Victoria Hotel), turn left just before the next traffic lights. After 50 meters you will find the hotel on your left-hand side.) Or take public transportation departing from Central Station (trams # 1, 2, 5, 13 and 17). From Schiphol A4 and Haarlem A9: Ring Amsterdam West A10. Exit S102 or S103 direction Centrum/Centraal Station. Follow the P-routes De Kolk. From Central station: Exit main station hall and turn right, go along with the bendwhich heads slightly to the left. Keep walking to the left sde of the street. You cross a wide bridge and on the left side below you can see the canal tour boats. When you have arrived at the traffic lights you cross 3 zebra crossings. The street you should be on now is Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. Go straight ahead and walk down street after approx 150 metres you will pass the Crown plaza hotel on the left. Keep walking and after another 150 metres you will arrive on Nieuwezijdskolk, a small square where the hotel is located.
