The rooms are small and in fair condition with bright colour schemes. The hotel has a vast array of different types of rooms, (double rooms are not available) with up to 20 beds, most rooms (including twins) are with bunk beds. Facilities are shared with a maximum of ten other guests and bathrooms are in good condition. However, the rooms do have their own small steel wash basins. Rooms have combination key locks, rather than keys.
The restaurant is on the ground floor and is decorated in the same style as the rest of the hotel, with polished silver tables and plenty of exposed metal work. The hotel also benefits from a lively bar, game rooms with a pool table and game machines.
The lobby is small, decorated in an extraordinary futuristic style with an abundance of chrome and coloured lights with an eye-catching silver statue of a robot in the centre.
The building used to be a police residential building, relatively featureless architecturally, in red brick.
The rooms in this hotel are very basically decorated and furnished to cater for the backpacker market. However, the public areas are very modern and geared towards young 18-35 year-old travellers. There is an excellent lively bar in the hotel which serves cheap drinks every night. No guests are allowed in this hostel under 18 years of age. (0507RPL)
