The Gainsborough Hotel is a Victorian residence converted to a Hotel. The hotel decor is very Vctorian and has a lot of paintings and artefacts from that era. The hotel has 48 rooms and all rooms are individually designed. All rooms are en suite - Standard rooms have en suite shower rooms only and Deluxe rooms have en suite showers and baths.

This hotel is ideally situated in a quiet side street in the heart of fashionable South Kensington. The nearest underground station is South Kensington just five minutes' walk from the hotel.
A few of the rooms are small and in exceptional condition with warm, homey decor. Most of the rooms are a little more dated in appearance, but still in very good condition. All the bathrooms are simply decorated and in very good condition. The hotel follows a policy of constantly upgrading, so it will not be long before all rooms are of exceptional standard.
The restaurant is on the ground floor, a lovely room, furnished to a very high standard, having a very warm atmosphere with antique pictures adding to its character and class.
The lobby is small with an intimate seating area and the decoration and furnishings are traditional English style, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The hotel is a traditional townhouse terrace. The exterior is in excellent condition and very typical of this area.
