This new five star luxury Hotel is located on the private island of San Clemente, which origins go back to 1131, when the church was built. Over the centuries the island always kept its aspect and today became an oasis of peace for guests who stay at the San Clemente Palace Hotel. Today courtyards and lawns surround the complex, which, built in the second half of the 17th Century as a monastery of the Camaldolesi order, still retains the atmosphere and the ancient flavour. Overlooking the city, the San Clemente Palace is just a few minute from St. Mark's Square and all the major attractions. The hotel is at a distance of 2 kilometres from the city centre and 3 kilometres from the Santa Lucia Train Station. Offering magnificent views of the surrounding lagoon and secular park, 200 Rooms and Suites accommodate and up to 400 guests at The San Clemente Palace, many of these rooms provided with a view on San Marco and the lagoon. Its majestically furnished facilities are characterised by different decor motifs. All the units are bright, spacious and well-equipped with a host of modern amenities. You can dine at any of the 4 onsite restaurants that offer a Mediterranean culinary tradition. The charming setting and magical atmosphere of American-style bar makes it a perfect place to enjoy a thirst-quenching drinks, cocktails or aromatic coffees. The hotel is located a few minutes from San Marco Square and all the major attractions. It overlooks the city and is across from the Giudecca.
The four restaurants offer the Mediterranean culinary tradition. The elegant Ca' dei Frati has a wonderful panoramic view of the lagoon. Le Maschere is in a Venetian style, Gli Arazzi has been designed as the main dining hall of the palace and The Giardino is located in the garden of the hotel and gives a relaxing atmosphere.
The lobby is ,medium in size, and elegantly furnished in a traditional style. There is pleasant sitting area in front of the American bar with a splendid atmosphere. All has been finished with particular attention to details.
This is a typical and traditional Venetian building. The hotel has a suggestive entrance, with a path through a nice big garden that leads to the lobby. The entrance is very glamorous with a big staircase that goes to the top floors, adorned with Murano chandeliers and big tapestries.
The hotel has also conference rooms for business meetings and a magnificent American bar, Gli Specchi, that exudes an atmosphere of opulence and elegance.
