The La Forcola Hotel takes its name from one of the most characteristic elements of the Venetian gondola, called precisely the forcola: the special kind of oarlock that is essential for the Venetian style of rowing. Located on three floors, the hotel is furnished in classic style, sober and elegant, strongly featuring the use of wood, a material that gives the atmosphere a special warmth.. The La Forcola Hotel is situated in the middle of Strada Nuova, half way between the train Station and the Rialto. Just one minute from the hotel there is Ca' Vendramin Calergi, the splendid Palace overlooking the Grand Canal, which houses the Venice Casino. This is a very characteristic and strategic area, especially for those who are interested in discovering the real soul of Venice, choosing the lesser beaten tracks, such as, for example, that leading to the very ancient Jewish Ghetto, about 5 minutes from the hotel. The position in the heart of the historic center also allows visitors to easily reach all the symbolic places in Venice: the Rialto Bridge and the spectacular St. Mark's Square.

Located in Cannaregio, the hotel is just 10 minutes' walking distance from the train station and very close to the charming Casino of Venice. The closest boat stop is called S. Marcuola, from which it is 7 minutes traveling time to Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes to San Marco Square.

Rooms are medium in size and traditional in style with wooden furniture and polished wood parquet flooring. Bathrooms are small and in excellent condition, as are the rooms.

The hotel has no restaurant. It does have a breakfast room and a bar. They are cosy and welcoming, decorated in pastel colours with marble floor and dark wooden furniture.

The lobby is small and pleasant with marbled floor, wooden furniture, and plenty of natural light.

This is a typical Venetian style building overlooking a small canal and the Strada Nova, the largest street in Venice.
