Wide and elegant, the Hotel reflects the history and fascination of the City of Iris. The antique furniture, the rich paintings from the Florence school on the walls, the spacious and to the last detail furnished rooms, communicate to the guest a refined and intimate atmosphere. The suites are twenty-nine, among them the prestigious Tolstoy suite, enriched through a suggestive oil painting of Tuscan manufacture from the nineteenth century and a whole floor of the Hotel reserved to non-smokers. The restaurant Il Granduca has got Liberty decorations and proposes the recipes of the Tuscan and Mediterranean cuisine. The Hotel is also equipped with many congress rooms able to contain up to 240 persons.

The hotel is located in the centre of town fifteen minutes walk from the Duomo and ten minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and main railway station.

The rooms vary in size and condition. All rooms are in good condition and contain traditional fixtures. The bathrooms are large and very well kept.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and pleasantly appointed with traditional furnishings, serving both international and local cuisine. This room is also used as a breakfast room offering a lavish cold buffet.

The lobby is grandiose and long rather than large. The lobby is stylish and traditional with polished parquet flooring. It is decorated with green potted plants creating a colorful, vibrant and fresh atmosphere.

The hotel is a traditional beige colored Italian palazzo, which is in excellent condition, having been given a complete facelift in 1998. All windows have classical Italian Venetian style shutters.

This hotel is one of the best hotels in Florence. It is within walking distance of all major tourist attractions and ideal for all guests.

The Il Granduca Restaurant, is intimate and distinguished, offering a varied breakfast buffet and the more traditional dishes from Tuscanian and Mediterranean cooking. The congress centre, equipped with a wireless internet connection, has 4 function rooms, the biggest of which has the capacity to hold up to 90 people and has a theatrical set up.
