Built in 1975 and renovated in the year 2000, the complex is spread over two buildings, with 5-storeys and has a total of 581 rooms of which 52 are singles and 529 are doubles. The complex has a 24-hour reception service and 3 lifts. Dining options include a bar, an air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. A TV room is also available as well as parking facilities. A laundry service is also on offer.

The Hotel Pionero is situated only metres from the sandy beaches of Santa Ponsa and close to the lively centre. The hotel is comfortable and modern in design. The bedrooms are well equipped with air conditioning and television. Within the hotel complex there are two outdoor swimming pools and an indoor pool.

The hotel is located 300 metres from Santa Ponsa beach and village. All rooms are medium in size and elegantly decorated with pastel colour fabrics and wooden furniture. On leaving the airport take the sign towards Palma. Approx. 3 miles along this road you will see a turn off to the right which states Via de Cintura - Andratx - take this turn off and approx 7 miles along this road you will go through a tunnel. Immediately after the tunnel take the first turn off on the right which states Andratx and Palma Nova. Continue on this road until you come to the turn off which state Santa Ponsa. You have to go around two roundabouts until you reach the beach, take the first right and then the first right again and the Hotel is approx. 200 yards along this road.
