The Astoria is a benchmark amongst high quality hotels in our city. They are equipped with direct line telephones, safety deposit boxes, mini-bars, TV with satellite channels, Canal Plus, fax and modem hook-ups, hair dryers and individually-controlled air conditioning units. On the eighth floor of the hotel, with magnificent views of the city, guests can make use of the gymnasium, sauna and an enticing terrace with a swimming pool and bar, where you can relax and savour a refreshing cocktail. Recently the hotel has opened a new exhibition with illustrations by the Catalan artist Ricard Opisso. This is a permanent exhibition that is held in the three main meeting rooms of the hotel. It has over 110 pieces that will add to the character to this unique and well established hotel of Barcelonas Eixample. Other services include meeting rooms, a laundry service and room service. Our guests can also come to relish a menu featuring traditional Catalan cuisine at the Astor bar and restaurant.The hotel is located just a stones throw from the citys most alluring shopping district: Diagonal avenue with its numerous fashion boutiques and design shops; Rambla Catalua, the preferred promenade of Barcelona residents; and Paseo de Gracia, where we can find two of Gauds masterpieces, La Pedrera and Casa Batll.

The hotel has an excellent location on the west upper side of the Eixample area, within walking distance of the main shopping areas in Diagonal Avenue and the tourist attractions around Passeig de Gracia.

All rooms have been recently refurbished keeping the same materials as in the past, but thoughtfully incorporating the latest technology to provide maximum comfort with warm and bright colours while still maintaining a traditional touch. They all have air conditioning/heating, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, minibar, soundproofed rooms, hairdryer, television, Canal Plus, Satellite television and Pay-per-view.

The restaurant has a touch of art deco and serves à la carte menus of Mediterranean food. It is medium in size and located on the ground floor.

The lobby is medium-sized and pleasantly decorated with traditional sculptures and furniture. You will feel the atmosphere as soon as you enter the hotel, surrounded by the beauty of the hall dome’s stucco mural paintings or the spiral staircase leading you to the rooms.

The hotel has a traditional façade typical of the early 20th century.

The Hotel Astoria boasts a special location in the veritable heart of Barcelona, Cerds Eixample near Diagonal avenue and Paseo de Gracia. Its location is ideal for both business people and tourists coming to Barcelona since it is in the core of the citys business and leisure districts.

From El Prat airport take the C-32b Carretera De L Aeroport north. At the C-31 junction continue ahead, then when you reach the C-32 bear right towards central Barcelona. Continue ahead along the C-32 Ronda de Dalt for about 4 miles, then turn off at Jct 11 for the B-23 Avinguda Diagonal and bear right towards the city centre. Contine along Diagonal Avenue for about 3 miles, continue ahead at the Placa de Francesca Macia (third exit directly ahead at the roundabout), then about 300 yards later take the third right into the Carrer de Muntaner. About 100 yards later take the second left onto Carrer de Paris, continue ahead at the first junction and the hotel is ahead on your left. By train from the airport - take the RENFE train to Catalunya station. Then take the L6 (lilac) or L7 (brown) metro line one stop north (towards Reina Elisenda or Av Tibidabo) to Provenca station. Leave the station by the Sortida C del Rossello exit and walk two blocks north along Carrer de Balmes, then take the second left into Carrer de Paris where you will find the hotel on your right 100 yards along the road.
