The Majestic Barrière hotel gets bigger and begins an ambitious program of embellishment and extension with a new wing in front of the sea which will be ready at the beginning of 2010.

This legendary hotel epitomizes the Cannes Film Festival and is popular with celebrities from all over the world. Facing the Mediterranean and the Palais des Festivals, the legendary Majestic Barriere is located on La Croisette. Discover the timeless luxury of this palace- like hotel. The rest of the year it's a very livable small city with a bit of everything the Riviera has to offer. Many of the belle epoque palaces such as the Earl of Brougham's "Villa Eleanor" are still standing, though most now serve as office or apartment buildings. In addition to some of Europe's finest hotels, the beachfront Croisette Boulevard boasts elegant shops frequented by the owners of visiting yachts. It's also the site of the Film Festival Palace, with its casino where informal dress is permitted at the slot machines.

The hotel is located on the Croisette, opposite the Palais des Congres.

The rooms are of medium size and they have been refurbished in an elegant style with black furniture, striped carpets and wall tapestry. The bathrooms are fully marbled. Rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition.These rooms offer partial sea view.

The hotel's restaurant Le Fouquets is on the ground floor. It is decorated predominantly in burgundy red and leads on to the hotel terrace. There is also the beach restaurant which is open for lunch in the summer months.

The large lobby is truly grand with gilded pillars with Greek style finishings at the top. There are comfortable dark brown sofas and armchairs.
