Despite being a small city, Strasbourg has a fine selection of accommodation options, with many hotels catering for the thousands of business travellers and political dignitaries who visit each year.
An excellent 4-star hotel in Strasbourg with a central location is the Sofitel, which is in the heart of the city centre close to the famous cathedral and the Petite France old district.
Another fine high-end hotel is the 4-star Regent Contades Concorde hotel which also benefits from a central location, situated in the east of the centre.
A mid-range option that is favoured by business visitors is the 3-star Mercure Sud, located 12 km south of the city centre, close to one of Strasbourg’s biggest convention halls, L'illiade.
For those on a budget, a good low-end Strasbourg hotel is the 2-star Gutenberg Hotel, which enjoys an extremely central location, directly opposite the cathedral.
