The majority of the accommodation options in Sorrento are based around the centre, on the Corso Italia and around the Piazzo Tasso. Another large concentration of hotels can be found along the westerly coastal road of the Via Capo.
One of the grandest and most famous hotels in Sorrento is the 5-star Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, which occupies a central position in the heart of the city, on the Piazza Tasso. Built on the site of a former Roman villa, the hotel features a stunning marble staircase and mosaic floors.
An excellent mid-range hotel in Sorrento is the 3-star Villa Di Sorrento Hotel, which also enjoys an extremely central location, just steps away from Piazza Tasso and a quick walk from the historical centre.
Those looking for low-end accommodation would do well to consider the 2-star Hotel Désiré on the Via Capo. This Sorrento hotel boasts excellent views and will meet all the requirements of a budget traveller.
Another good affordable option is the 2-star Sorrento City, which benefits from a central location, and is also conveniently situated for trips out of the city, being close to the Circumvesuviana railway station and the Sita bus station.
