About Newcastle upon Tyne

Where to stay

It’s been said that Newcastle’s nightlife is one of Great Britain’s biggest tourist attractions. Everyone is in good spirits always and the there are tons of Stag and Hen parties for singles at the many bars, restaurants, and nightclubs around town. The best are at Bigg Market, Quayside, Collingwood Street, Neville Street, Osborne Road, and around Central Station.

Theater buffs can get their fill on Grey Street where the Theatre Royal as well as several smaller venues are located.

Chinatown is a great place to be for family fun. There area is bursting at the seams with culture and teeming with life; there is always something to do!

There are a few excellent shopping areas in Newcastle. If you’re looking to shop til you drop stay close to Eldon Square, Green Market on Grainger Street, and Northumberland (which is one of the most expensive shopping streets in the UK rent wise).
