Maspalomas caters well for its largely upmarket visitors, with a number of excellent luxury hotels and villas on offer, many of which are located close to the resort’s stunning 6km long beach.
Situated directly on the coastline, close to the Meloneras beach, the 5-star Lopesan Villa Del Conde Resort & Thalasso is great for families, offering a nightly mini disco and a fully fledged children’s club.
If your budget doesn’t quite stretch that far, another excellent upper-end Maspalomas hotel is the 4-star Lopesan Costa Meloneras, which has received very good guest reviews and is equally close to the beach. This would be a great choice for serious foodies, since it is home to five restaurants, including the renowned Ambassadors, all serving a range of international cuisine.
A good mid-range option in Maspalomas, if you’re happy to be a 15-20 minute walk or quick bus ride from the beach, is the 3-star Club Vista Serena. These picturesque apartments are located a little inland, and are situated around a heated swimming pool, where colourful walkways lead you to the 48 apartments.
For budget Maspalomas accommodation, the 2-star Bungalows Jardin Dorado have received generally good guest reviews and is located in a quiet area of the resort. However, One of the reviews comments on the lack of children and it would seem that the bungalows and their facilities are not particularly family-friendly.
