The area around the Boulevard de la Sauveniére, in the west of the city centre is a popular part of Liege to stay, being close to many of the city’s main attractions. One of the best hotels here is the 4-star Mercure Liege Centre Hotel.
Another excellent hotel in Liege city centre is the 4-star Holiday Inn Liege, which boasts a pleasant green setting, with views over the river, the yachts marina and the Parc de la Boverie.
A little way out of the city centre, around 1.5km to the west, is the 4-star Chateau De St Nicolas, which is housed in a restored former country mansion, in the small and peaceful town of Saint Nicolas.
For a mid-range Liege hotel, the 3-star Cygne d'Argent is a popular choice, located to the west of the river, and conveniently close to both the city centre and the Gare Guilemins railway station.
Budget accommodation in Liege is in ample supply in the city centre, with the 2-star Metropole, west of the river, representing a fine choice. This cheap Liege hotel is just 50 metres from the main train station and 600 metres from the Palais des Congrès.
