Where to stay

Luxury lies in the city center. There are world renowned brand hotels, intimate boutiques, and newly renovated and thoroughly modern individually owned hotels. One Devonshire Gardens, just outside the heart of Glasgow, is accepted as one of the most esteemed places to be in the city, as it is where the Mayor and many notable families reside.

Easy access and affordability is available in Charing Cross. It is within walking distance to many entertaining and cultural sites, spans from edge to edge of the city, and in some parts offers stunning views of the city.

Fun surrounds the west end. This spot is completely dominated by University life and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to go around. It is also close to the Kelvinhall International Sports Arena.

The chic Merchant City sector is for those who are a little old for collegiate activities but still want a more sophisticated, yet just as lively, nightlife. There are many bars, restaurants, and theater companies located here. It is also the best spot to go shopping.

Discovering the ancient parts of Glasgow is difficult because there is not much that remains. However, what is left of the medieval area offers an in depth look at the heritage that is Glasgow.

The south side is the perfect place for a quiet stay. Though not walking distance, there are still plenty of hotels and public transport to the city center.
