The chic Merchant City sector is for those who are a little old for collegiate activities but still want a more sophisticated, yet just as lively, nightlife. There are many bars, restaurants, and theater companies located here. It is also the best spot to go shopping.
Discovering the ancient parts of Glasgow is difficult because there is not much that remains. However, what is left of the medieval area offers an in depth look at the heritage that is Glasgow.
The south side is the perfect place for a quiet stay. Though not walking distance, there are still plenty of hotels and public transport to the city center.
