Ghent has plenty to choose from in terms of accommodation options, with all budgets and tastes catered for.
One of the best hotels in Ghent is the 4-star Hotel de Flandrem, which is located in the city centre, a short walk from attractions including the medieval harbour, the Castle of the Counts and the Sint-Michiels bridge.
If you prefer to stay away from the bustle of the city centre, a good choice would be the 4-star Holiday Inn Gent Expo, which is located 2km south west of the centre. There is a tram stop just 100 metres from the hotel that will take you into the city centre.
An excellent mid-range Ghent hotel is the 3-star Cours St. Georges which overlooks the town hall on the Botemarkt in the east of the city centre, and is one of the city’s oldest hotels.
Those on a budget may want to consider the 2-star Erasmus Hotel, which is housed within a 16th century patrician house in the heart of the historic centre of Gent.
