Given Switzerland's notoriously expensive standing, there is still a range of more budget-focussed accommodation, relatively speaking, to go with the luxurious 4 and 5 star hotels of which the city is well-known for. Most places can be found in and around Geneva Lake, with higher-end hotels generally being in very short distance from the night-life and the old town. More specifically, a cluster of hotels can be found on Place de Cornavin, with both 3 and 4 star hotels on offer. The top-end, 5 star spots can be found on Quai de Mont Blanc.
At the cheaper end of the scale, the 2 star family-run Hotel Central is the more affordable option, and considering it is within reach of Lake Geneva, it offers up a good spot from which to peruse the city as well.
Right in the heart of Geneva's buzzing night-life, with easy access to the historic old town in Rue de Simplon, Churchill is a good 3 star Geneva Hotel. The Admiral Hotel in Rue Rossi is also another good option in this bracket. Another quality 3 star option is Ramada encore Geneve de Praille on Route de Jeunes.
In the up-market Rue de Mont Blanc stands the 4 star Bristol Hotel, which is suitably equipped with tasteful rooms that are adorned with antique furniture. Another 4 star option is Hotel de la Cignogne, which is just a stroll away from the lake.
