El Medano has a wide range of hotels, apartments and studios aimed primarily at singles and surfers. Since many visitors come here on a budget, and simply looking for somewhere to get their head down at the end of a busy day, there is little in the way of luxury accommodation.
For golf fanatics who are happy to stay a little way out of the resort, the 4-star Vincci Tenerife Golf is located just over 4km east of El Medano, and is just 100 metres from the famous Golf del Sur course. However, guest reviews have indicated that this hotel is not suitable for children.
An El Medano hotel closer to the resort’s centre is the eponymous 3-star El Medano, which is located right on the resort’s main beach.
Another mid-range hotel in El Medano with a central location is the 3-star Playa Sur Tenerife, which has plenty of amenities including a restaurant and a swimming pool, as well as being extremely close to the beach.
Discount El Medano accommodation can be found in the shape of the 1-star Las Adelfas complex, located in the neighbouring resort of Golf de Sur, around 4.7km west of El Medano.
