Canberra has the variety of accommodation options you would expect from a major capital city.
The Inner North area of the city offers visitors a number of Canberra hotels. This is a good choice for those seeking retail therapy, as it is close to the Lyneham and O’Cooner shopping districts.
As well as shopping, Lyneham, and also nearby Braddon, are also great bases from which to explore the rest of the city, as there are a number of attractions and restaurants nearby, including Chinatown.
To the south of Canberra in the vibrant inner suburbs of Kingston and Manuka, you will find many serviced apartments that are often used by business travellers. They tend to offer excellent facilities and, as an added bonus, are close to some of the best restauarants in Canberra.
If you want to have easy access to the attractions of Tharwa, Tidbinbilla and Namadgi National Park, you should consider a Canberra hotel in one of the areas to the south of the city centre.
