London Stansted Airport was the UK's 3rd busiest airport during 2007. Close to 24 million passengers passed through the terminal building that year, only Heathrow and Gatwick handled more people during the same twelve months. The airport is located 30 miles northeast of London, in the Uttlesford district of Essex. It is one of the five international airports currently serving London, the other being Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and City of London Airport.
